Applied Research Consulting (ARC) has worked to learn about, demonstrate, and advance effective youth development programming since 2000. By conducting program evaluation and supporting program development, ARC strives to bridge the gap between research and practice. We do it by combining research skills with practical experience to make expert consultation practical and affordable. We support all youth development programs, with a particular focus on mentoring.

ARC offers a range of services to suit any budget.

	Program Evaluation: ARC's applied research approach produces meaningful findings, solves problems, and leaves programs better prepared to fulfill their organizational mission and compete for funds.
	Mentoring Initiative: ARC is reaching out to mentoring programs nationwide to study relationship quality, the key contributor to enduring matches. Programs can engage at any level, from simple program evaluation to intensive Harvard-affiliated research.
	Program Design and Development: ARC's experts in youth development programming provide outstanding design and development support that helps make best practices practical.
	Academic Research: ARC has the capacity and experience to oversee specific aspects of ongoing research or to design a study and see it through, from IRB approval through writing for publication.
	Instrument Development: ARC has developed surveys that are used in national research studies including thousands of youth.
